Memories of a Mexican Vacation

We’re back in Minneapolis and already I’m missing our week in Puerto Aventuras.

We’re back in Minneapolis and already I’m missing our week in Puerto Aventuras. Little things, like the “Magic Breakfast Box”. Unhook the little door on the wall of your room at a time you chose the night before and find  a pre-ordered, hot breakfast with the best fresh squeezed O.J. ever. Eat it on the balcony of your room while your watch the resident coatamundi scamper though the garden.

Bid a fond farewell to Roger (or maybe Lana?) the iguana. Like we humans, he (she?) can be found stretched out in the sun, posing as if he (she?) were a Hollywood star. (Sadly, I lost the photo of Roger/Lana. His/her agent will no doubt be in touch.)

IMG_0784Stop for one last coffee on the bay at the Bamboo. Terrific pastries and even better cappuccinos. Enjoy them while you chat with people from Italy and Mexico City. Dream of what it might be like to own one of the large boats that are docked there.

But, like all good things, this too must come to an end. The important thing to remember is:IMG_0816

Nor am I; life is good!

Where we stayed: Omni Hotel

Location: Puerto Aventuras, Mexico — a four-hour flight from Minneapolis
